From the High museum website: “Explore the theme of journeying and movement South to North in Bearden’s work with special guest Dr. Farah Griffin. Griffin is the William B. Ransford Professor of English and Comparative Literature and African-American Studies at Columbia University in the City of New York. The author of several books, Professor Griffin writes and speaks extensively on American and African American literature, music, history and politics. She is the Chair of Graduate Studies and Director of the Institute for Research in African-American Studies.”
