Dear Columbia alumnus/a,

Happy New Year! Welcome to all new and returning members and board members. We’ve scheduled a number of exciting events and look forward to connecting with you soon. Many thanks to everyone who helped plan and will participate in these – together we’ll make this year a great one!

January 21 we tour the High Museum. We’ll be viewing The Painter and Poet: The Wonderful World of Ashley Bryant. Ashley Bryan was a Philosophy major at Columbia in the 1940s. We’ll also be viewing the Al Taylor, What Are You Looking At exhibit. Before the tour we’re meeting for brunch at TAP: A Gastropub.

Super Bowl Game Watch Party, February 4

Join CCOA as we come together to cheer on whoever our favorite team might be to win Super Bowl LII! Even if you aren’t a sports fan the commercials are always entertaining. And, to sweeten the deal, if you’re a paid CCOA member for 2018, your first drink is on us!

RSVP:    Stephen Carley, [email protected] or 770-298-6964

Hike on the Atlanta Beltline Northside Trail, March 17

The Northside Trail through scenic Tanyard Creek Park offers its guests one of the most tranquil stretches of the Atlanta BeltLine. It was the first segment of the Atlanta BeltLine trail to open on the north side of Atlanta. Come join us for some fresh air, a little exercise and the picturesque scenes of spring as we hike the 1-mile Northside Trail of the Beltline.

RSVP:    Stephen Carley, [email protected] or 770-298-6964

In addition to our events, we continue to offer these ongoing programs:

  • Annual Book Awards: Sponsor local high school awards recipients for academic merit and leadership accomplishments.
