Looking for an evening of fun and intellectually stimulating literary discussion? Join the CCOA Book Club! Our next book for discussion is The Melancholy of Resistance by László Krasznahorkai. Krasznahorkai was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2025 “for his compelling and visionary oeuvre that, in the midst of apocalyptic terror, reaffirms the power of art”. This is the first of his books translated into English. It depicts the chaotic and mysterious events surrounding the arrival of a circus in a small Hungarian town, which promises to generate a fabulous discussion.
