Join CCOA members (and their family members) in our annual volunteer opportunity and make a difference! We have chosen MedShare, a worthy organization (rated a 4-star nonprofit by Charity Navigator) at which CCOA has volunteered in the past.  As its website states, “MedShare has grown into a leader in the field of medical surplus recovery and redistribution supporting the healthcare of hundreds of thousands of people in 95 countries over its 15-year history.” A look at its website will provide a sense of the scope of its global outreach efforts, some recent examples of which include providing medical supplies to countries in Africa for the Ebola crisis and to Nepal following the earthquake.

CCOA volunteers will sort and package surplus (lightweight) medical supplies to be sent overseas.  Family members can come as long as they are at least 10 years old.  An orientation takes place at the beginning of the session, so please be sure to arrive on time.
